Ready, Set, Respond (RSR) is a medical student-led initiative founded in 2024 with the mission of equipping high school students with foundational emergency response knowledge. Emergencies can happen anytime, anywhere, whether at home, at school, or out in the community. We believe that everyone, especially youth, should feel confident recognizing the signs of medical emergencies and taking the first steps to help, even before professional responders arrive.
Through free, engaging school presentations, we empower students to respond to real-life situations like seizures, strokes, anaphylaxis, opioid overdose, choking, and severe bleeding. Our goal isn’t to certify; it’s to raise awareness, build confidence, and spread lifesaving basics in a clear and relatable way.
To cultivate a generation of confident, informed youth who are ready to take action during medical emergencies, ultimately improving outcomes and strengthening community resilience through early intervention.
RSR provides awareness education only. We do not issue formal first aid or CPR certification and always encourage early activation of professional emergency services.
